Recently I went to spain and had some new waters, unfortunately there is really no info on these so I will just post the photos

ACQUA FILETTE

 new water from Italia:

AQUA Carpatica (naturally carbonated)

wow a new water....this is from Romanian and supposedly one of the best waters., easy drinking, high TDS, I still the German waters have a better flavor but this is still very good.

PEDRAS

I have had this water multiple times now and it is pretty unique in the bubble as well as flavor. This is a very high TDS water in particular Soduim & Hydrogen Carbonate, sodium does give the water something as does Apolinaris, not sure about the Hydrogen Carbonate. I feel that due to the high TDS you are left with a fairly effervescence bubble that should be drank in one sitting. Since this is readdily avaible to me now I might stock up.

ROSBACHER

This is the first German water I have seen in the states other than Gerolsteiner in a long time. The water has a soft bubble and to me reminiscent to Badiot. It is a high mineral content water with low sodium. I would probably like it better in glass but not sure I can find it here, here is what the company says about it's 2:1 ratio: For me its good but not great, and needs a bit more carbonation.

Rosbacher contains calcium (2 parts) and magnesium (1 part) in a ratio ideal for the intake of these minerals. Consumed jointly and regularly, they positively influence the performance and the ability for regeneration.

This is particularly relevant for active people. With every drop of sweat, the human body loses minerals, among them calcium and magnesium in a 2:1 ratio. Rosbacher is provided with these minerals in an ideal 2:1 ratio by nature and therefore quickly compensates the loss of these minerals.

PERLA HARGHITEI S.A.

Like most water from Romania this water is excellent and naturally carbonated but has a light effervescence, and low mineral content. Only 2% calcium and 15mg of sodium. This water is light and crisp.

Zaro's

This water has the characteristics of most of the greek water I have had. This one though has a lot less Co2. Still this water has a real clean taste and finish and has low TDS. Perfect for someone who does not like a hard water.

Aqua Rimini

Lots of carbonation (natural w/ natural added) very champagne like, a touch of sodium 10mg or 1% DV  with 4% DV of Ca. TDS 560 mg/L, Waiting for more info from the source. Don't think I will find this much since there is no info anywhere about it. I love the art deco label.

Aqua Sara

This water is fantastic. Very high TDS hence the light effervescence. One of the cleanest tasting water I have had. This bottle is 90% of your DV of Ca. This is a great water for people who don’t like classic or bold effervescent waters. Another great water from Romania

Borjomi

i'm on the fence about this one, first I hate plastic bottles, they definitely change the flavor of the water.

Mine as a weird smell to it, I can't place what it is. The water has a high sodium count, making it reminiscent of Apollinaris.

This water is very interesting with it’s high Na content making the water sweet yet very salty. I have had it a couple of times now and there is still a strange after taste that I get every time, even when the water is aerated and in a glass for a while. The only way I can describe it is plastic(y)

Jamnica

This is another hard to find water, This water has a super high TDS mostly from it’s high HCO3- and Na content. This lightly effervescent water has a sweet taste and clean finish. There are about 20 brands from Croatia I think this is the best.

I did notice that this water is a tad strange tasting if it becomes warm and flat just like most effervescent mineral waters.

The one thing great about living in queens was the diversity, it is very hard to find any water from Slovenia here. This water has very small bubbles, and a bit a sodium make this water very refreshing, kind of like san faustino but better. Also this water has 8% of your DV of Ca & Mg

There are not many waters from this country, I have only read about 15 but this is all over Queens. There are a select few places where you can get it in glass which in my opinion is far better....I think glass is better is better in every application.

Knjaz Milos

Knjaz Milos is one of the the best high mineral waters I have had from Serbia. It has 10% of your DV of Na as well as 10% DV of Ca and 15% DV of Mg. This is one of my everyday water that is pretty easy to find in Astoria. This has a great taste and is a classic to light bubble. I think the new one I have been getting (green bottle) has a higher CO2 content than the classic one(blue bottle), but I can't confirm this and they have not responded to my inquiries.

Borsec "Queen of Mineral Waters"

Since moving to Astoria, I have found more waters from more parts of the world than anyway else. Astoria is like the old NY, with mostly people being from Europe and Eastern Europe. Walk into any deli in Astoria and they most likely all have vast varieties of Water, Chocolate, Meats and all things European. Which leads me into Romania, and a brief intro about Borsec.

Borsec springs are located in the North-Eastern side of Romania, in Borsec depression ,Harghita county, in the heartland of The Carpathian Mountains. Borsec spa lies at a 900 m altitude. The large coniferous forest, which surround it, provides a particular healthy microclimat.

Borsec will never run out of water. There are over 15 springs of natural mineral water. Besides these springs, there are a lot of wells which reveal the potential of these mineral water resources. Their chemical composition is almost similar and also stable. In terms of flow and quality, the most important springs are spring no. 1 and spring no.2 for the natural sparkling mineral water and the source called 7 springs for the natural still mineral water.

This is probably one of my top three waters. It is naturally carbonated and has a TDS of over 1,400. The flavor and smoothness is unmatched. This water has everything you could want…Thought I do wish I could find it in glass. It is the Queen of mineral waters. For a full list of TDS click here.

Apollinaris "Queen of Table Waters"

This is in my top three waters. A classic bubble with very high TDS and natural carbonation sets this water apart from the rest.

Very similar to Gerolsteiner with more Na to give it a sweeter taste. I could drink this everyday. I also love that fact that it is always in glass, thought I liked the yellow label better.

The only other thing I can say is that in a country with the second most mineral waters in the world, this one stands out.

Gerolsteiner "The Ultimate Sparkling Water"

Where do I start with this water? This has been one of my favorite waters since 2005 when I first starting getting into Mineral Waters. For me it has the best of everything, a classic bubble and a very high TDS of 2,500. It also has one of the best bottles which are back in glass after years in plastic. You really can’t beat all the minerals in here; it has a super low Na+ level which sets it apart from Apollinaris (another favorite) and high in pretty much every other mineral. A liter of Gerolsteiner provides 35% of the recommended daily intake of Ca, 25% of your Mg and has 1,816 mg of HCO3 For a full list of all the mineral please refer here:

According to their site:

The region, from which Gerolsteiner mineral water originates, the Volcanic Eifel, is of unique geological character. A mineral water of the highest quality is created here thanks to the special combination of carbonic acid from earlier volcanic activity and the dolomite rock known for its rich mineral content.

As the water finds its way through the various layers of rock it becomes naturally becomes naturally carbonated. This is an important process, as the carbonic acid allows the water to absorb the precious minerals and trace elements from the dolomite rock.

The water gathers at a depth of up to 200 meters after filtering through various rock layers, retaining its purity and freshness thanks to carbonic acid. To maintain this level of natural purity it is bottled directly at its source.

One interesting detail is that if you read the bottle it now says “with natural carbonation added” What does this mean? The water when extracted is carbonated around 3.5 mg/l, according to (fine waters) to make the classic Sprudel they add Co2 from the water itself directly from the source to give its end result of 8 mg/l.

Regardless if you know all the minerals in side what most people care about is taste. Most people when I tell them about these types of water will always say “all water tastes the same” which is so far from the truth.

The Ca and Mg really give this water a great flavor, I go back and forth with this and Apollinaris which has a sweeter flavor in my opinion.
